Photoshop
allows you to adjust the brightness and
contrast of your image.
If an image is too light or too dark, you can use the brightness and contrast
controls to improve the picture.
Below are examples of an image before and after the brightness and contrast
were adjusted:

How do I adjust the brightness and contrast of my image? It is a simple task to adjust the brightness and contrast in a photograph: 1) Pull down the Layer menu. 2) Point to New
Adjustment Layer. 3) Click on Brightness/Contrast. The
Brightness/Contrast dialog box will appear: 4) Check the Preview
check box. This will show you your adjustments before you finalize them. 5) Adjust the Brightness
and Contrast levels using either the slider bars or by changing the numerical values. |
