This month we feature two very different sites created in FrontPage.
BELGIAN FEDERAL TREASURY
The FrontPage Web site creation and management tool is being used around
the world to create multilingual Web sites for diverse audiences. Even the
Belgian Federal Treasury has taken advantage of the versatility found in
FrontPage to build and maintain its site, which is translated in four
different languages. View this FrontPage site at:
Reflective Images.com is dedicated to the preservation of our
environment through photography and education.
With more than 720,000 visitors last year, this Web site is fast
becoming a valuable resource for nature and wildlife photography.

TIPS AND TRICKS
MAKING FRAMES BEHAVE: SETTING FRAME PROPERTIES
Have you ever tried to use frames, only to end up with the banner
swimming all alone in the middle of the page and the main content scrunched up at
the top? Would you like to make your frames do what they're supposed to do?
We have a few ideas that will help.
HOW TO ADD A PAGE TRANSITION TO A WEB PAGE
Those of you who have used the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation
graphics program are probably already familiar with page transitions. But did you
know they can also add flair to your Web site? Here's how to do it --
but be sure you don't overdo it. (We recommend using transitions only on
selected pages, like your introductory page.)
1) In Page view, open the page for which you want to display the
transition effect. On the Format menu, click Page Transition.
2) From the Event drop-down menu, select the event that will trigger the
transition effect. For example, select Page Enter to display the
transition effect when a site visitor browses to the page for the first time.
3) In the Transition effect box, select the type of transition effect
you want to use.
4) In the Duration (seconds) box, type the amount of time you want the
transition effect to last.
5) Click OK and then save the page. (On the File menu, click Save.)
NOTE: Page transitions only appear when the page is viewed with Internet
Explorer 4.0 or higher.
CREATE A BANNER AD THAT USES THE IFRAME TAG WITH INTERNET EXPLORER
Ever wonder how to create a banner ad that uses the IFRAME tag with
Microsoft Internet Explorer? Now you can with this easy-to-follow how-to
article. This HMTL tag enables Web authors to insert a frame in the
middle of a Web page. Find out how to use this tag to create banner
advertisements that work with Internet Explorer.
BUILD A GREAT SITE WITH THE PDG SOFTWARE SUITE OF PRODUCTS
Each application provided in the PDG Software Suite features a FrontPage
plug-in component that directly enhances Web site development, without
the need to hard code HTML. The suite consists of a wide range of e-commerce
solutions, including PDG Shopping Cart, PDG Shopping Mall, PDG
Distributor, PDG Auction, and PDG Commerce. To see some of these products in action,
visit the Chocolate Bear site, created and maintained with FrontPage
2000 and PDG software. This site complements Chocolate Bear's San
Francisco-based retail shops selling custom-made chocolates to corporate clients. Even
though it features more than 1,200 products, the site cost less than
$2,000 to develop.
