Destroying the natural living beauty of an area

Above it what they call progress .. I have a few other names for it, but they are not appropriate for listing on this site.

The below image is what the tree looked like back on January 28, 2009. 
I am not sure how old this tree was but I have lived in the area for
close to 30 years now and it was there long before I moved here.

This tree was located on the site of the new Ankeny High School.
I guess this beautiful tree did not fit in with the overall landscape plans.

We have so much natural beauty here in Iowa but most will never see it.

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful,
 we must carry it with us or we find it not.
