Trumpeter Swan - Defending his
territory
(Olor buccinator)
Ducks (Anatidae)
This Swan is part of the Trumpeter restoration program here in Iowa.
The male swan was defending his territory and did not like this bicycle rider
that was wearing a yellow riding outfit. The bike rider told me that every time
that he rides by here the swan would expand his wings and charge after him.
